Rev. Frederick A Gelsey was converted to the Christian faith in April of 1983. Soon after, he received his call into the ministry and pursued his Christian education at Houghton College. Shortly, thereafter he married his lovely wife Lydia. Following this marriage he earned a Doctorate of Religious Philosophy in Christian Psychology from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary. He was licensed to preach the Gospel at the White Rock Missionary Baptist Church, where Rev. Dr. Ivery Daniels is Pastor.

Because of the strong anointing on his life, God called him to Assistant Pastorate and teaching ministry at the Pentecostal Deliverance Prayer Center, where he was ordained and served for two years. While there, Dr. Gelsey led a powerful prayer ministry which is still in existence today.

Soon after the completion of his ministry at the Pentecostal Deliverance Prayer Center, Dr. Gelsey was summoned by the Holy Spirit to lend a hand in the ministry of the Free Spirit Missionary Baptist Church. There he served faithfully and harmoniously with the ministry of Free Spirit under the pastorate of Rev. A. B. Sutton, Jr.

Dr. Gelsey is the founder and president of the One in Christ Prison Ministry with a radio ministry that was aired every Thursday morning (9 am – 9:30am) on WUFO, 1080 AM. Later he moved to 100.3 FM on Friday mornings at 12pm for the “Sixth Hour” broadcast and 8pm for the “Friday Night Live” broadcast. In addition, due to his faithful and diligent work he founded the One In Christ Interdenominational Church. This church is located at 940 Broadway St. in Buffalo, NY, and serves as a location where God’s children can come to worship in spirit and in truth. Following these events Dr. Gelsey was elevated to Bishop-Elect on May 29, 2017 for the Global Ministers & Churches Alliance that was founded by Bishop George Agbonson Ph.D.
